Kojic acid has been shown to be effective at inhibiting melanin production in the skin, so it diminishes the appearance of brown spots and promotes a clear, fresh-looking complexion. Like any skin-lightening agent, this product should be used overnight on dark spots only. Also, we strongly recommend daily use of sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30.

I have been using this product for several weeks now and really like it. I was told to use it after using my vitamin c serum (also Ninja and I LOVE IT) and before my moisturizer (again, Ninja brand and so darn light on the skin). It is very light and absorbs quickly. It is also not drying and I feel like it helps keep moisture in. I am looking forward to seeing what results it gives me after a few months.

I have a lot of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne and this product has done a great job of lightening those marks. It does take time and it may not be able to eliminate everything perfectly but the results are noticeable with regular use. I struggle with finding products that work for this problem but this one does work. I recommend trying this product if you have hyperpigmentation issues.
