Real Questions, Real Answers: Pamela Talks Dark Spots and Skincare Favorites
We get a lot of questions from clients about how to tackle specific skin concerns while still using the products they love, and we thought we’d share a recent exchange with Pamela, our founder. One of our long-time customers asked about dark spots that have shown up over the years and whether our Vitamin C or B3 serums could help, while still using her favorite Age Defying Trio.
Check out the exchange below and see Pamela’s response — from which products will actually make a difference, to layering tips, and even sun protection reminders — exactly the kind of guidance we love giving at Ninja Skincare.
Letter from client:
Hi, I’ve been a long time customer and use all of your products. I currently use the Age Defying Trio. Ive considered using the Vitamin C gel. I have a few brown spots that have shown up over the years and would like for them to disappear. Would the Vitamin C serum be a good choice or can you suggest one? I do really like the Age Defying Trio. Looking for suggestions. Can I use them both? I also saw the Vitamin B3 serum as well, and had an interest in it as well. Thank you!!
Pamela’s Response:
Hi C—
Hope you’re doing well and getting some riding in!!
The only product we have that will lighten dark marks is the bleach with kojic acid. The vitamin C will lighten sooooo teeny of an amount – it’s not the ideal product. The Vitamin C is a strong anti oxidant and helps with inflammation and slowing the aging process…sadly nothing will stop it!! (although time in the saddle does remove stress and that can reduce aging!)
Yes, you can use the vitamin C gel under the Trio if you want to layer. The same goes for the B3 serum – use it first and then apply the trio over it.
Hope that helps answer your question.
If the dark marks are super localized – you could get them lasered and that will lighten them too. Make sure you’re using sunscreen all the time and wear a wide brimmed hat when in the sun…shade is always your friend!
