Bi-Weekly Check-Ins Are Necessary WHY?

You might have noticed by now that we’re always bugging you to check in with us. But why?! Is it because we love you all so much that we want to have a personal relationship with you, and not just online?  Well, YES!!! Of course that is one of the reasons!  We miss the days when we had the Acne Treatment Clinic in Walnut Creek, CA and we got to actually see your beautiful faces on a monthly basis!  But there is another reason which has more clinical underpinnings.

When you start off with our treatment, we tell you to start off slowly. We ask you to build up your skin’s tolerance to our strong medication. We know that if you don’t do this, your skin can “freak out” as Pamela likes to say. But just as a slow build up to our medications will allow your skin to not “freak out.” consistently using our products may also result in your skin’s gettng accustomed to the medication strength, making it less effective. When this happens, the good news is that we can ALWAYS modify your routine to snap your skin back into shape. We can change the medication strength, we can modify your daily routines, we can add in new steps. 

But the bad news is that if you don’t check in with us, we cannot help you get your skin back under control.

We ask people to check in with us every 2 weeks, especially during the first 4 months of treatment. When you consistently check in, we often make changes to your skincare routine to ensure your skin is progressing at the right pace. This let’s us get your skin clear in 3-4 months vs 4-8 months without check ins.

And check ins aren’t hard!  We have a handy-dandy check in form on our site (and there is a small gift waiting for you once you fill it in) that should take no more than 3 minutes to fill out. Please send photos as well!
