Does your skin get worse before it gets better?

A frequent question: Does acne get worse before it gets better?
A recent text from a client was cool enough that we thought we would make it a blog post!
Hi! I was talking to some friends about skin care and they brought up the whole belief that skins gets worse before it gets better. It has been my experience that if my skin got worse from a product, it never did get better. What are your thoughts on the subject? ☺
Our response:
It takes 3-4 months for pimples to form. So what you see on your skin today was started months before. If your skin gets worse before better it means you just started more pimples months ago. Sometimes it gets better, then worse, then better again. Just depends on what you’ve had cooking for the past several months.
With our treatment, our topical medications prevent new pimples from forming as well as dry up existing new pimples faster. So for most clients they see their skin get better and feel/look more calm during their clearing process. The key is to start off with the most comprehensive and aggressive treatment that is needed and one can afford – both time and money wise.
Once your skin is under control, you must keep up the treatment – nothing is a cure. What gets you clear will typically keep you clear.
It’s all a game of changing the cosmetic chemistry of your skin and removing the trapped dead skin cells in the hair follicles where pimples form.
Hope this answer helped you and your friends! If you have any more – just ask!
