Life Hack #122: Cheap and easy way to moisturize dry skin

This is the time of year we often have clients asking how best to hydrate their dry skin during the more harsh winter months. Of course, we always recommend our Ninja Skincare Multi-Plexion Moisturizer because it is a better base product for applying make up and powder over and it does not make your skin feel and appear shiny or oily.

However, if you have dry skin areas where you need more hydration than what the Multi-Plexion Moisturizer offers, there is a very easy, non-comedogenic option – pure Vaseline petroleum jelly, the same stuff you use on chapped lips.! The trick to using it is to apply it immediately after washing your face when your skin is still moist because it will seal in the water next to your dry skin.
And no! It will not clog your skin – in fact, it is one of the only products over the counter we can safely recommend for your skin.

Just make sure to wash your skin thoroughly with your facial cleanser to remove all of the Vaseline on your skin before you apply your topical medications, otherwise you will be interfering in the ability of the medicine to work.
